Our Values

Statement Of Faith

  • Values are truths we hold important.  Below are key values we believe the Holy Spirit is calling the Church to emphasize today.  As we walk out these “spiritual guideposts” we trust Christ will build us into people who “look like Him."  (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).

 

  • New Birth… We proclaim the gospel of salvation by grace through faith…Trusting Christ alone for the propitiation of our sins.  (Romans 3:24-25, Ephesians 2:8-9) , responding in obedience by repentance, confession, and baptism and receiving and being sealed by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

 

  • Authority of Scripture…We believe the scriptures to be God-breathed and thus the ultimate authority for faith and practice. (James 1:22-25)

 

  • Fullness of the Holy Spirit…We believe in the ministries of the Holy Spirit convicting sinners, pouring out love into the hearts of the redeemed, empowering of witness, teaching and counseling His church, bearing fruit of the transformed Christ- character, and gifting us for service with all the gifts operative in the New Testament Church, including the gift of tongues. We believe in the need for “being filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18) for the victorious life in Christ.

 

  • Nurturing Believers into Wholeness… (2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Corinthians 3:17-18) have shown that God plans to save us and to transform us into complete Christ-like people.  God’s priority of family wholeness is a very high value for us.  (Ephesians 5:21-33; 6:1-4)

 

  • Living Sacrifices…Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  (Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 3:5; 1Corinthians 9:27; Romans 6:13; and Romans 8:13)

    

  • Worship…is a way of life for us.  Our worship is done in Spirit and truth because we realize that God looks at the heart.  We believe that the heart is where true worship begins.  (Romans 12:1-2; John 4:21; 1Samuel 16:7)

  • Centrality of Prayer...To the present-day Renewal/Revival (a new presentation or publication of something old, with a new renewed attention or interest to the things of God) God wants to bring in our lives.  Our churches teach and practice prayer.  Corporate and individual prayer is practiced, and its fruits enjoyed.  (Matthew 18:19-20; Jude:20; James 5:16; Philippians 4:6-7)

  • World Evangelism... Our Christ has given us a passion for the lost.  Evangelism is at the center of our strategies.  We implore people everywhere…be reconciled to Christ.  (2Timothy 4:5; Matthew 4:7; Mark 16:15)

  • ​We Believe Our Ultimate Battle…is not against flesh and blood, but against demonic principalities and powers.  We strive to understand and use the weapons our Lord has given the Church for warfare.  We understand the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of satanic strongholds.  (Ephesians 6:11-13; 2Corinthians 10:4-5)

 

  • Leadership Gifts…We see the great need for all leadership offices, gifts revealed in Ephesians 4:11 to be functioning in the Body of Christ, ministering to and with local congregations.  A group of churches walking together enables Ephesians 4:11 servant leaders to be released for ministry to the whole Body of Christ.

 

  • Luke 4:18-19 As Key to Defining the Ministry of Jesus…” The Spirit of the Lord is on me because He has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”  We believe these words of our Lord must continue to direct His Church today.  We believe we need to proclaim the words and do the works of Christ.

 

  • Building Communities/ Congregations…which are demonstration plots of God’s Kingdom.  We believe the Church should be a new community and a witness of love and righteousness to the unsaved one person at a time.  (Acts 16:31; 2 Timothy 2:2)

 

  • Unity of the Body of Christ…We know the Lord Jesus wants His Church to be united as a witness to who He is…” So that the world will know the Father has sent Him.”  Thus, we seek to “Work diligently to keep the Unity of the Spirit” with whomever confesses Jesus as Lord.  (John 17:11; Ephesians 4:3)

  • Integrity Restored Relationships…We value relational unity.  We seek to speak the truth in love, walk in commitment, serve one another in love, and walk in submission to the Word of God…We take Matthew 18:15 seriously and seek to work through offences, ask for and give forgiveness and walk on together in respect, preferring one another in Christ.  (Ephesians 4:15-16; Matthew 18:15-17)

 

  • Sanctity of Life…We believe it is on our Lord’s prophetic agenda today to defend the sanctity of human life.  (Exodus 20:13; Psalm 139:13-17; Jeremiah 1:5)

 

  • Chastity of Christian People/ Sacredness of Christian Marriage…We teach and call our congregations to walk in and enjoy the freedom of chastity and marital faithfulness.  We offer liberating hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.  (1Corinthians 7:2; Romans 8:13; Ephesians 6:10)

​

  • Priesthood of All Believers…We know the key to fulfilling the Great Commission and doing the work of ministry is equipping and releasing the “Kingdom of Priests”.  (1Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:5-6)
